Our Recruiting Process

Robbie Curlee, our Club Director, plays an active role in guiding athletes through the college recruiting process. Through years of experience, she has built strong relationships and a deep understanding of what college programs at every level are looking for.

Her focus is on positioning both athletes and families, and the coaches evaluating the, for success. Robbie works closely with Storm athletes throughout the recruiting journey, utilizing her network and platforms like SportsRecruits to provide exposure, direction, and opportunity. She also ensures families stay informed on the ever-evolving recruiting landscape.

Storm has proudly helped numerous athletes continue their volleyball careers at the collegiate level.

At Storm, we view college not only as an opportunity to compete, but as a pathway to a meaningful education and long-term success.

All scholarships are not equal

Most college programs offer a combination of partial scholarships and financial aid rather than full rides. Even full scholarships may not cover all expenses, so evaluate each offer based on overall value and fit.

Always be on your best behavior

College coaches evaluate more than just skill, they watch your attitude, effort, and how you interact with teammates. Stay positive, coachable, and supportive at all times, especially in high-pressure moments.

Take advantage of every opportunity

Even if a coach isn’t there specifically to watch you, your performance can still leave a lasting impression. Play every moment like it matters, because it does.

Never Assume

A coach’s actions during a match don’t always reflect their level of interest. Stay focused and consistent, because you never know what they’ve already seen or are evaluating.

Make decisions for YOU

Choose a college based on your academic, athletic, and personal goals, not outside influences. This is your future, and the right decision should reflect what’s best for you long-term.

Player Showcase

Since 2014, our third year as a club, we’ve seen many players come through our program to compete at the Collegiate Level. Many more have come through Storm and gone on to great success in other fields in college, taking the lessons they learn here and applying them to their daily lives. THEY are the reason we exist. THEY are our legacy!
