Jason Curlee
16 National Jason Head Coach

Jason Curlee has worked in athletics and education since 1995, with experience as a coach, teacher, and former athletic director. Throughout his career, he has coached volleyball, football, basketball, and softball.
Jason has assisted with Storm teams throughout the club’s history and is entering his fourth season coaching a team. After coaching Storm’s 14s, 15s, and 16s, he will lead the 16 National Jason team this season.
Since 2020, Jason has also led Storm’s athlete performance training, including speed, agility, and vertical jump development. His coaching style is built around the details. He focuses heavily on proper mechanics, helping athletes understand not only what they need to do, but how to perform each skill correctly.
More than anything, Jason wants his athletes to become tough under pressure, embrace the grind of the game, and take ownership of their development both on and off the court.
Away from coaching, Jason has helped build and maintain Storm’s social media presence and website. He is also an eighth-grade history teacher and a self-published author of the Beyond the Goalposts series and the Scion science fiction thriller trilogy.
