Courtnie Cathers

Courtnie Cathers enters her first season with Storm Performance Volleyball Club and will serve as the Head Coach of the 16 National team for the upcoming season.

Prior to joining Storm, Courtnie coached with Texas Advantage Volleyball (TAV) from 2020–2025, helping develop athletes at the club level and leading teams to two USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship appearances.

Courtnie played collegiately as a setter at the University of Delaware from 2017–2020. During her career, she earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors, was named to the CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll, and served as team captain during each of her seasons with the Blue Hens.

Prior to college, Courtnie was a four-year varsity letter winner and two-time Texas High School State Champion in 2013 and 2014. Throughout her high school career, she earned numerous individual honors, including District Server of the Year, two-time District Setter of the Year, County Co-Offensive MVP, County Utility Player of the Year, multiple Team MVP honors, and Texas Girls Coaches Association First Team All-State recognition in both 2015 and 2016. At the club level, she competed for Texas Advantage Volleyball (TAV) and Madfrog Volleyball Club, earning Girls Junior National Championship All-Tournament Team honors in 2015 and 2016 while helping capture the 2016 National Championship.

Courtnie brings high-level experience as both a player and coach, along with a passion for developing confident, competitive athletes who are prepared to succeed on and off the court.
