Angie Velazquez

Angie Velázquez, hails from a diverse military upbringing where she discovered her love for volleyball at an early age. As a talented setter and team captain, Angie achieved remarkable success throughout her school and club years. Graduating from Flour Bluff High School with multiple awards, including First/Second Team All-District and Academic All-District/State, Angie also showcased her skills in prestigious club tournaments across Texas, Las Vegas, and Puerto Rico.

Her journey at Storm played a pivotal role in her development. Coached by her father on the 18's team, Angie’s club play became the foundation for her transition into coaching and officiating. Interning as an assistant coach and later leading the 12's Select team, she contributed to Storm's coaching staff while obtaining certifications as a TASO and USAV official. For our 2023 season Coach Angie stepped up to lead our 13 Gold National team to a highly successful season.

Angie’s coaching prowess continued to thrive as she took on the role of junior high head volleyball coach and varsity assistant at Annapolis Christian Academy, achieving notable successes in regional and state tournaments. Currently, she excels as a coach for volleyball and other sports at Calallen ISD, making significant contributions to their varsity's district championship and playoff run.

Committed to her personal growth, Angie pursued an Associate's degree in Kinesiology from Del Mar College and received a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology: Exercise Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
